Refunds Policy
Website and engagement policy for DSpot Creative's RFP-based services.
1. Purpose
This Refunds Policy explains how refunds, cancellations and payment disputes are handled for DSpot Creative engagements.
2. Upwork-only payment model
Using Upwork gives clients and DSpot Creative a shared transaction record and access to the platform's payment and dispute-resolution mechanisms. It also supports global clients by using an established payment platform and its applicable tax and payment-processing systems.
3. Before work begins
An RFP submission is not a payment and does not create a refund obligation. A project begins only after the scope and engagement are established through Upwork.
4. Milestones and completed work
Where an Upwork engagement uses milestones, work is tied to the agreed milestone scope. If a client requests cancellation after work has started, the parties should use the applicable Upwork process to determine what work has been completed and what amount, if any, is refundable.
5. Client-requested cancellation
Cancellation does not automatically entitle a client to a full refund. Work already completed, committed resources, approved milestones and third-party costs may affect the amount available for refund. The final handling is subject to the project agreement and Upwork's applicable rules.
6. DSpot-requested cancellation
If DSpot Creative is unable to complete an engagement and the parties cannot reasonably agree on a revised plan, any eligible refund or milestone adjustment will be handled through Upwork according to the engagement terms and platform procedures.
7. Defects and revisions
A defect or failure to meet the approved scope should first be reported with clear details so it can be corrected where appropriate. A revision request is not necessarily a refund request. Scope changes may require a new estimate.
8. Disputes
Clients should use Upwork's dispute-resolution tools for project payment disputes. DSpot Creative will cooperate with the applicable platform process and provide relevant project records.
9. Non-refundable third-party costs
Domain registrations, software licenses, paid APIs, hosting, stock assets, advertising spend and other third-party charges may be non-refundable where the provider does not issue a refund.
10. Contact
For questions about a refund or cancellation, contact DSpot Creative through the website and reference the relevant Upwork engagement.
